What to Wear with Red Chinos

Properly choosing complementing colors for red chinos seems to be a daunting task, especially for those who are not-style-savvy individuals.  But such woe can be easily addressed by simply following color scheme guidelines and one confidently dress out with a bold fashion statement. With just a little planning, anyone can wear bold colors and incorporate red chinos into their outfit armory.

Designate one of the two matching colors as the primary and secondary color respectively. If you choose white and red as your colors, the white one will be your primary color and red as the secondary. With white as the primary color you can wear red chinos and pair it with white crisp shirt, black bow tie and black smart shoes for a formal look. For an old-school look, simply pick a casual striped tee topped with fisherman’s jacket paired with boat shoes or very popular this season denim shirt and derby shoes and you are ready to go for a casual day stroll in your new red chinos.

What to Wear with Light Blue Chinos

Blue should be one of the default colors men should consider when buying new wardrobe. Navy or dark blues is a one of the fashion staples and owning a navy blazer is reasonable enough.

One particular color that matches well with light blue chinos is navy. The reason why they complement each other is the fact that they belong to the same color family. This makes them handy to coordinate and contrast by using different hues of blue. We all know that the blue family is composed to different shades like electric blue, turquoise, aqua, light blue and navy to enumerate a few. Blue can matched with an identical, darker or lighter shade of itself. So if you are wearing a navy, it is not a fashion faux-pas to wear a pair of light blue chinos or vice versa.  The contrast of shade will help neutralize the brighter tones. Wearing black or neutral colors will take away attention to the main color while white compliments and anchors any shade nicely.

Other colors that blue shades generally go along well are yellow and red undertones. Light blue chinos and pale yellow complements with each other. If you want to take it to the next level then contrasting color such as orange or rusty hues is worthy enough to try. Another blue’s neighbor in the color wheel is green. With this color green undertones such as blue-green, teal or aqua are good example for a bright look. Red undertones consist of pink and purple while yellows consist of cream and khaki.

What to Wear with Beige Chinos or Khaki Pants

Finding the right top to wear with khaki pants or beige chinos can be difficult. It’s not exactly dressy, and it’s not exactly casual. Even colors that seem to match may not match depending on the material and style of the clothing.

Long considered are basic clothing to any golfer’s wardrobe, beige chinos was neglected by the mainstream fashion for the last two decades. But recently regain its popularity and became one of the trendiest and most versatile trousers of the 21st century.

Khaki has long been a popular fabric used for military uniforms. It's made with cotton, wool or a combination of both with blends of synthetic fibers. With its entrance into the fashion scene, both men and women have worn them a variety of trendy ways. Here are a few tips on how to get it right when it comes to color coordinating.

Colors to Match with Different Shades of Beige:

Dark beige: A muddy color close to brown and drab olive. It goes well with earthy colors.

Regular beige: The standard shade with a mix of tan and light brown. It goes well with vibrant colors such as red, green, yellow, blue and purple.

Light beige: A beige color carrying cream and yellow shades. It goes well with dark shades such as black, navy blue and jean fabrics (light or dark).

What to Wear with Khaki Pants or Beige Chinos:

Business Casual: Matching khaki blazer and pants, light blue dress shirt, slim dark blue-and-yellow striped necktie, dark brown oxfords. Avoid khaki suits that are too loose or too long. Pants should rest on top of the shoelace and upper heel of the shoes without excess bunching.

Casual: Sport coat and plain or graphic t-shirt with white buck shoes, sandals, Chuck Taylors, Jack Purcell’s, vans or men’s boots. Without the coat, polo shirts that match well with regular beige chinos include light pink, orange, red, mint green and baby blue. Sweater vests also work well with khaki pants.

Beige chinos can be combined with white and the contrast is not as strong as when paired it with other colored chinos. This means that even the novice in the fashion world can easily pull off a 3 piece wardrobe ensemble with brown, cream or beige chinos without being accused of fashion blunder.  They can be worn interchangeably with shorts, shirt, tee, jumper, jacket, blazer and cardigan combinations.
