How to wear men's bracelets - summer trends

Man jewelry used to seem like an oxymoron. Until, of course, you see every editor from Milan to Manhattan sporting bracelets in a dizzying array of colors and materials. But can regular guys pull off a wrist’s worth of metal, beads and string? Turns out, the look isn’t just for industry insiders anymore.
"Mewellery", "mangles" - whatever you want to call them, male wrist jewellery is having a moment. I my opinion the modern mangle is "not really a bracelet; it's wristwear". In the last few years more and more men around the globe embracing wrist fashion

Men’s jewelry walks a fine line: too flimsy and you might as well have rummaged through your girlfriend’s jewelry box, too chunky and you’re in Cheesetown.

The key is to make sure the materials and colors are balanced. Neutrals in brown and black leather pair perfectly with colored nylon cords. And they don’t have to be restricted to your watch-less wrist.

Bracelets are a subtle expression of your personality. It illustrates what your fashion taste is as well as what message you want to give out. More so now the bracelets that are on offer really comes down to price categories so every man can afford it.

Just try to remember a few wristwear  rules:
  • Think about what message you want to give out.  Is it, the biker look, the trendsetter or Mr sleek.
  • You can pair a bracelet on the same wrist as your watch but make sure the wrist bracelet enhances your watch. If you own a  high-end watches like a Patek Nautilus, AP Royal Oak, Cartier Santos or a Panerai, don’t pair it with a cheap steel, but with a nicely designed bracelet. Choose a bracelet like that does justice to the quality of your watch.
  • Don’t wear too many at once. This can work well when its summer and we are in our board shorts with a nice tan. But can look too much at other occasions.
  • Mix and match – Neutral colors in black and brown leather match well with colored nylon cords.
  • Pair bracelets with suits – Break down the corporate dress code.
